This Vanilla Chai Protein Shake is the perfect on-the-go breakfast option or can replace any meal if you’re in the mood for something sweet yet filling.

    Vanilla Chai Protein Shake

As I previously mentioned in my Creamy Blueberry and Raspberry Protein Smoothie post, I have been on a serious protein smoothie /shake kick during this quarantine!  I go for a walk everyday around lunchtime to get outside but to also breakup the monotony of my day and once I get home I’ve been making this Vanilla Chai Protein Shake and it is perfection!  As it is warming up heading into Summer this is the most delicious way to cool down after being active outside.

    Vanilla Chai Protein Shake Ingredients

    • Vanilla protein powder
    • Frozen banana (pro tip: buy fresh bananas, let them ripen, peel them and place in a gallon storage bag in the freezer )
    • Almond beverage
    • Almond butter
    • Pumpkin pie spice (I’m a pumpkin spice all year round kind of girl)
    • Vanilla extract
    • Ice
    Vanilla Chai Protein Shake Ingredients

Nutrition and Health Benefits of This Shake

    • Simple carbohydrates, a.k.a. quickly broken down carbohydrates, that offer instant energy replenishment
    • Protein that will help with muscle maintenance, repair, and growth, as well as help keep you satiated
    • Healthy fats that will fill you up, not clog your arteries, and provide ALL of your cells with it’s outer cell membrane (I know, pretty geeky, but it’s true!)
    • Anti-inflammatory benefits through the mixture of spices provided in the pumpkin pie spice

    Hi, I'm Andrea!

I’m a Registered Dietitian from Orange County, CA.  Nutrition is my number one obsession in life and nothing rocks my world more than helping others by sharing my passion with them. I’m a true California girl! So when I’m not Dietitianing, you’ll find me in a body of water or on a dirt trail, always rockin’ a sweet pair of shades (because eye health is important too), and playing my favorite tunes. If I’m not there, there’s a 100% chance I’m snugglin’ with my fur baby, Stella!
