Ingredients
4garlic herb chicken sausage linksfound at Trader Joe's
1mediumred bell pepper, sliced
1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
1white onion, sliced
2tspavocado oil
4hot dog buns
Garlic powder, to taste
Seasoned salt, to taste
Lemon pepper, to taste
Ketchup, to tastego light here, 1 tbsp of ketchup = 5g carbs
Mustard, to taste
Instructions
Place a sauté pan over medium heat and add the avocado oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Place the sliced green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and white onion in the pan. Season the vegetables with the lemon pepper, garlic powder, and seasoned salt. Cover the pan and stir every 1-2 minutes. Cook the vegetables on medium heat for 6 minutes and then turn the heat to low until you're ready to plate the dogs.
In a separate sauté pan over medium heat, add the chicken sausages and cover. Turn the sausages every 2 minutes until all sides have browned. Cook them for a total of 8-10 minutes.
Place the cooked sausages in the buns and top with the cooked vegetables, ketchup and mustard.
