Frozen blueberries, raspberries, and banana blended with greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, almond beverage and almond butter. This creamy Blueberry and Raspberry Protein Smoothie is a refreshing and filling breakfast or snack option.
Woo! I have been on a protein smoothie kick since this quarantine begun. It’s a fun way to mix up ingredients and create something different, super tasty and filling on a daily basis. I approach protein smoothies and shakes the same way, I want it to be a meal replacement. Which means that this smoothie is nutritionally balanced with carbohydrate options, protein options and fat options. Protein smoothies or shakes are commonly used as a breakfast option or afternoon snack, but really you can incorporate them whenever you prefer. Introducing to you my new favorite: the Blueberry and Raspberry Protein Smoothie! ❤
Blueberry and Raspberry Protein Smoothie Ingredients
- Blueberries, frozen
- Raspberries, frozen
- Banana, frozen
- Vanilla protein powder
- Plain nonfat greek yogurt
- Almond beverage
- Almond butter
- Ice
Health Benefits of This Smoothie
This nutrient packed smoothie will ensure that you are putting your best foot forward each morning in the nutrition department!
- The blueberry, raspberry and banana combo offers lots of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, antioxidants and fiber (that’s pretty impressive if you ask me).
- Greek yogurt and protein powder makes this a legit protein source (my biggest issue with most smoothies and shakes out there is that it never has enough protein).
- Last, this is a heart healthy, plant-based fat source between the almond butter and almond beverage (no cholesterol!)
