Equipment

  • Toaster oven
  • Cutting Board
  • Chef knife
  • Sauté pan

Ingredients

  • 1 slice sourdough bread I use the large sliced San Francisco style sourdough bread from Trader Joe's & cut in half
  • 6 slices smoked turkey breast deli slices
  • 1 slice apple smoked bacon
  • 1 tbsp whipped cream cheese split between bread slices
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 1 pinch microgreens
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Place a sauté pan over medium heat, sauté the bacon (cook to your liking), and place to the side. Pour out the majority of the bacon fat (I collect mine in a mason jar) but leave a little bit to coat the bottom of the pan. Sauté the turkey slices for 1-2 minutes until warm.
  • Spread the whipped cream cheese evenly between the halved sourdough bread. Place in the toaster oven for 2 minutes to toast the bread and warm the whipped cream cheese.
  • Top the sourdough bread with the turkey and bacon on one slice, then top the other slice with the tomatoes, microgreens, mustard and black pepper. Put the slices together and enjoy!
